About Our Staff:
Our staff is a
professional teaching team! Each staff member meets high academic
qualifications for his/her position and actively pursues further education
in the early childhood field.
Implementation of
developmentally appropriate practices allows our staff to teach in ways
that matches the way children develop and learn. The teachers place
special emphasis on creating classroom communities, promoting positive
relationships among friends and adults, and making sure each child feels
loved and important.
We're proud of our
teaching team and the high standards of professionalism they bring to
Discovery World!
About Our Administrators:
West Park Discovery
World, Inc. has established itself as a respected Child Development Program
since 1986. Gayle Kovach and Nora Litchney, Co-Owners and Directors
(pictured left), realize how important a loving and caring environment is for the
development of young children. Both are mothers who have dedicated
their educational and professional lives to the growth of young children.
Gayle graduated from
the University of Toledo with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.
Her prior experiences have been in teaching and directing Kindergarten,
Montessori and Preschool classes.
Nora received an
Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelors Degree in
Social Science from Baldwin Wallace. Since 1978, Nora has been
teaching and directing preschool programs, and is presently an Adjunct
Professor at Cuyahoga Community College.
Both Nora and
Gayle continue to grow in the Early Childhood field by being involved in
various professional organizations, and serving on several boards
promoting Early Childhood Education, and support area colleges by
providing opportunities for their students to complete field experiences
at Discovery World.

years.. She has learned so much from each of you, and we will not forget
all of your hard work. You have all touched Vanessa's life in one
way or another and for that, we are truly blessed! We will miss all
of you and hope all of you will be there when Samantha comes in a few
years! Keep up the good work!! It is very much appreciated!"
