Younger Child Care Programs Ages: 3 years old (all toilet trained). Play and movement experiences are valued as two of the most important means by which learning takes place. Carefully planned activities of play and movement allow children to be actively involved in this small group setting. When a child is developmentally ready to move to the older child care group, the teachers will gently "transition" the child. This is a year round program available from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Older Child Care Program Ages: 4 to 5 years old. A full day educational curriculum incorporates a large variety of age appropriate materials and activities to meet the individual developmental levels of this group. Since the children are usually in attendance for the majority of the day, daily concepts are worked in throughout the day.
Nursery School Programs Ages: 3 & 4 years old (by Sept. 30th). Nursery School Classes are 2 1/2 hour programs (2 or 3 days per week) that run September through May, that are age specific. Each class places emphasis on developmental skills for that age group and guided by the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards. Through planned activities, play and discovery, children gain the skills necessary to prepare them for future learning.
"Step Up" Nursery School Program The "Step-Up" Nursery School Program accepts children who turn 5 years of age in the summer or will turn 5 by December of that year. This accelerated program allows students an extra year to mature and develop skills needed for Kindergarten. This class meets Monday, Wednesday, Friday 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Kindergarten Ages: 5 & 6 years old. Taught by an experienced, licensed, master degreed, licensed professional, our full day Kindergarten is a developmentally appropriate program, placing an importance on "hands-on" learning, which studies have found to be the best and most appropriate mode of learning for any age. We offer an enjoyable and exciting atmosphere in which students can be prepared for 1st grade. Children in this classroom will be working on skills in the area of language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, physical education and socialization. Our goal is to lay a solid foundation of learning that can be easily built upon in the coming years.
School Age Programs Ages: 5 thru 8 years old. The Kindergarten class and children from elementary schools who need a fun, safe place to stay after school benefit from the After School Program. Activities include indoor and outdoor games, crafts, cooking, computer games, and some quiet time to complete homework if necessary. Summer Camp is a full day version operating June - August, with a variety of fun activities to fill the summer. Activities and projects involving arts and crafts, cooking, games, indoor and outdoor play along with fun field trips make up their daily schedule.
